Membership Categories and Dues

 

AENC is an individual membership association with membership being held by the individual rather than the organization. In the event of a change in employment, membership may be transferred to another individual.

 

The membership year begins September 1 and ends August 31. Dues are prorated beginning November 1 of each fiscal year. Contact the AENC office for a prorated dues structure.

 

Association Management

Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and staff personnel who devote 50% or more of their working time to general association management duties in a trade, technical, educational, philanthropic, or business association, or in individual membership societies with a common professional or business interest.

 

Affiliate

Any individual who has a special interest in associations, association management, or in providing goods or services to associations, but who does not otherwise qualify for Association Management Membership.

Group Association Management Memberships

AENC offers a group membership option, available only to those eligible to be Association Management members of AENC who are employed within the same organization during the membership period of September 1 – August 31.

Any association may add/transfer members, however when adding or transferring members, the organization will be charged a $45 administration fee. If additional members are requested to be added and it would cause the number of memberships to rise to the next group level, the organization will be permitted to add those member(s) at the additional individual pro-rated amount.

 

Example: Your organization is at Level I, 2-4 members. Currently you have 2 individuals as members. If you added 2 additional members from your organization, you would simply pay $45 for each member to add them. If you wanted to add a 5th person, which would cause you to move to a Level II membership, you could add them at the additional individual pro-rated amount. During the next dues billing cycle, you would be given the option to renew the five members at Level II, or change to another level.

 

 

Individual Memberships

The AENC membership year begins September 1 and ends August 31 of the following year. Beginning in November, individual dues are pro-rated on a bi-monthly basis. The following rates are for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

Membership Transfers

A membership can be transferred from one person to another within the same company for an administration fee of $45. If the original member was a Charlotte Chapter member, that chapter membership is included within the transfer fee.

 

Membership will be active upon receipt of dues payment and membership application at the AENC office.
