Experience Cabarrus County through its deep-rooted racing culture.
Bring your competitive side and join fellow AENC attendees for a series of high-energy stops
designed to get your heart racing and your adrenaline flowing.
Bonus: winners at stops two and three will take home prizes and bragging rights!


Attire: Closed toed shoes and light layers are recommended. You’ll mostly be indoors with AC, but activities are active, so you may get warm.

Stop 1: Ice Cream at My Sisters Place Ice Cream & Fudge

Start your engines with a sweet treat:

  • Handmade, award-winning fudge (so many flavors to choose from!)
  • Hard scoop ice cream
  • Hot fudge sundaes
  • Floats (Root Beer, RC Cola, Cheerwine & more)

One treat per person is included. Pro tip from the AENC Team: pace yourself… you’ll want to be ready for the next race!

Stop 1: The Slot Car Track

Take a step back in time with a stop at The Slot Car Track, where you’ll race miniature electric cars on winding, high-speed tracks. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned racer, it’s easy to jump in: just grab a controller and go! Expect plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition, and bragging rights on the line… because the fastest lap takes home a prize!

Slot Car Track

2:30PM – 4:00PM
Stop 3: K1 Speed Kart Racing

Ready to kick things up a notch? Next up, we’re heading to K1 Speed, where you’ll hit the track for high-speed indoor go-kart racing alongside fellow attendees.

Karting has come a long way since your parents’ childhood. If your idea of a go-kart is a cobbled-together steel chassis with an old lawn mower engine attached to it, you’re in for a surprise!

If you’ve never tried go-karting at K1 Speed, you’ll be surprised at just how much of a workout it is. Your heart rate increases, a sweat develops, and you’ll feel g-forces when hustling the go kart around the track.

Don’t forget, fastest racer takes home a prize!

Final Stop: Feel The Thrill Speedway Tour – Charlotte Motor Speedway

Go behind the scenes at Charlotte Motor Speedway for an unforgettable finale. Enjoy a guided van tour around the iconic superspeedway and experience the full-tilt thrill of the 24-degree banking (yes, the van really climbs the track at high speeds! You just might squeal!).

You’ll also:

  • Visit the NASCAR Cup Series garage area & Media Center
  • Ride through two infield race tracks
  • Cruise down Pit Road
  • Stop in Winner’s Circle for a photo opportunity

Tour Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour
