As many of you have heard, the Raleigh Convention Center experienced a significant fire on Monday evening. We’re deeply grateful that no one was injured, though the building did sustain damage. The full extent of that damage, and the timeline for repairs to ensure a safe guest experience, won’t be fully known for several days or even weeks. As a result, our only path forward is to cancel the 2025 AENC Trade Show & Speaker Showcase. We know this will be disappointing and inconvenient for many, and we will genuinely miss gathering with you next week. At the same time, we’re committed to standing with and supporting our RCC partners as they navigate this unexpected challenge.
Connie first joined AENC in fall of 1995, 30 years ago, as working at the NC & SC Assn Sales Manager for the Grove Park Inn. She has served on various committees and the board of AENC. In her free time, she like to attempt golf and gardening. She has been at Explore Asheville for almost 7 years and has found her home.
