Scott Warren

A lifelong resident of Virginia Beach with nearly 25 years of industry experience, Scott Warren has a wide array of destination experience, having served in roles in the Resort Management Office, Special Events & Film Office, Sports Marketing Unit, Virginia Beach Convention Center, and Visitor Information Center, all divisions operated by the Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau (VBCVB).
Scott’s present role as a convention sales manager involves managing and fostering existing client relationships among the Associations in Southeast, Social Welfare, Military Reunion, Religious, Hobby, and Fraternal (SMERF) groups while simultaneously driving business development efforts to expand to additional niche markets. Through his active involvement in industry associations and trade shows, he generates high visibility of the destination among decision-makers.
Previously, he served as manager of the Virginia Beach Visitor Information Center, where he oversaw the facility's day-to-day operations, and as a sales manager at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, the first LEED-certified existing building in the United States, where he assisted in booking both small and large groups. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., and a Master of Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.
